An awarding-winning architect by trade, John is a craftsman at heart. He brings nearly three decades of mixed-use, large hospitality, and luxury private residential experience to Svigals from his home state of Colorado where he was raised and most recently worked in the chic mountain town of Aspen.

Attracted to Svigals because of its distinctive diversity of design work, John values artfulness in architecture. Starting early in life as a construction apprentice, John began his professional journey with an intimate appreciation for how elements fit together which drew his focus toward the tiniest details. Honoring the premise that everything affects everything, John brings value to clients through smart decision-making and thoughtful, inspired designs.

When not asking the question what should architecture be? or remodeling his new-to-him Connecticut home, John can be found with his four dogs, making jewelry, or collecting art.
