What is this exploration? Of sculpture and architecture? The potential for another dimension of meaning.

Not all digressions are created equal, since not every side trip is tethered to a common aim or ‘tune.’

The context for collaboration needs to offer a welcoming, open door for more to enter. The playing field needs to be as level as possible.

There cannot be one person that owns the process. There must be an upfront commitment to collaborate.

So what’s the problem? This proclivity quite naturally tends to distract us from the small stuff. And in the small stuff there’s a treasure of potential.

It’s all about integrity. Say what you will do. And then do what you say.

Oddly enough conflict is an essential ingredient of collaboration. Until we push up against each other, we don’t know where we stand. Conflict helps establish the starting point of a conversation and invites a full spectrum of possibilities.

True communication, of course, involves both speaking and listening. It’s the listening part that goes by the wayside. Or we focus on listening to ourselves, a favorite pastime.
